Also, did you hear the news about The Office? It seems it will be Steve Carrell’s last season on the hit comedy show as he has confirmed that this season of The Office will sadly be his last, however it does not mean the end of The Office. So who will become the new Michael Scott? I think that Dwight would make a perfect new Michael or maybe even Jim but who knows maybe Ricky Gervais will make an appearance. We’ll just have to wait and see.

The finale for Lost is finally here. And dear I say it, It is coming too fast.

It seems strange to say that, considering most opponents of the show, say the directors are wasting episodes on useless sub-plots. I semi-agree with that point. In the early days of lost, we got to see winding sub-plots dedicated on a single character, and now that we are at the end, they really didn’t have any bearing on the story as a whole. And I definitely think that there was so much time wasted at the beginning that now we are rushing through too many mysteries.Things like Jacob picking Jack as the new him, Hurley finding out about the whispers in the forest etc. All these things were told in about 2 minutes.. And yet we have waited 6 seasons of mystery. They were delivered with such a lack of pizzaz.

At the end of the day though, throw all of that out the window. This shows end will be intense.

There is still many questions floating around. I think more than people wanting to see how the end comes, people are looking for the answers to existing questions. Little niggles in the story line that seems to have thrown us off track. Here is a few that I’m personally looking to finally get answered.

Why can Flocke/MIB not fly over water? And yet if you remember on the freighter, the smoke monster appeared as Christian, and told Michael he had done his job. Was he able to fly over the water back then? Was that even him?

It is now known, (or semi known), that the man in the cabin who Ben thought was Jacob, was infact the smoke monster. In the latest episode Ben was quoted as saying “It was where I thought I summoned the smoke monster, but infact he was the one summoning me”. The question I have is that Richard must have known this. Richard would have known that the person inside the cabin was not Jacob. Ontop of that, when the plane crashed on the island, he already had a list of people to get from the tail section. This list was given by the smoke monster, as Ben would have got it from the cabin. But why were the people split up? Some were taken to the temple?

I also wonder just how privy was Richard Alpert to the going ons of the candidates? Did he know that there is candidates in the first place? Remember when Richard came up with the plan and told (Real) Locke how to kill his father. What was the reason for this? Simply to prove Ben wrong?

Something that came up in the last episode. Is the fact that Ben was promised the island, in exchange for ratting out his wardrobe buddies. And yet the last line of the episode, is of Flocke saying that he needs to destroy the island. Uh-oh, Guess Ben has been double crossed.

In a way, the story seems to have simplified a whole lot. Jacob has clearly told Jack that he needs to kill Flocke/MIB. And really, that is all we are going for in the final episode. They could leave out answers to alot of questions, alot of little mysteries, and still be able to wrap up the show. So let’s see the showdown!

Let’s be honest, It really was inevitable. The once star attraction for NBC has been on a steady (and fast) decline ever since the first season. The numbers really don’t lie :

Season 1: 13.86 million viewers
Season 2: 11.46 million viewers
Season 3: 7.81 million viewers
Season 4: 5.19 million viewers

And if you are more of a visual type of person, here is the graph :

Ofcourse it can be argued, that in reality, while these numbers look horrible., and it is almost 100% certain that Heroes can’t increase their numbers for the final season. It still pays to remember that getting 5 million viewers is not exactly a terrible rating. Infact, it would be better than the majority of shows out there (Albeit, maybe not prime time slot shows).

The biggest issue right since the beginning of Heroes, has been the fact that no matter what happens, things always manage to come right, no matter how ridiculous the story line gets. If someone dies, someone turns to the dark side, heck, even someones mind being morphed, there is always a way for the writers to essentially, write that character back into the series. It really gives no end to the endless circle that Heroes seems to be in.

Nothing is set in stone yet, but given that NBC has already commissioned 5 new pilots for this season (Including a new J.J. Abrams’ spy thriller Undercovers) , things aren’t looking up.

Last weeks episode, ‘The Candidate’ saw four people get killed off in one scene, these being Jin, Sun, Sayid and Frank. We knew that certain people had to be killed off so that ‘The One’ is find but was it necessary for them to kill off so many in one go when they’ve had 14 episodes to start doing that. Also, will we ever see Ben, Miles and Richard again? Since they left the group in ‘Everybody Loves Hugo’ they are now no where to be seen… We are so close to the finally on 23rd May so why are there still so many questions, it’s like they are going to leave us with a huge cliff-hanger which will leave us asking questions for the rest of our lives!

With tonight’s episode getting closer and closer you should know that we aren’t going to see any of the regulars as this episode is about The man in black and Jacob, but maybe that’s a good thing as surely it should answer the questions we have about the island and how things came about we should also get answers to the smoke monster and Locke’s motives, but only time can tell.

With that, there are questions that hopefully should be answered:

What is The Man In Blacks real name, he must have one.

In the cave, why is Kate’s name crossed yet she is still allive? Maybe Jacob will let us into the mystery behind the names on the wall.

Does The Man In Black have a real body? or did he lie when he told Richard that Jacob stole his body? or is he just a ‘thing’ like Locke!

Why can’t the smoke monster go through the sonar fence? and why can’t he fly across across water?

How do The Man In Black and Locke actually change into the smoke monster? Lets hope that one gets answered.

and finally. As we saw in the first episode of Season 6, the island is no longer there, so what happened to The Man In Black and Jacob? Did they die? or are they still alive?

Just a few questions out of hundreds that hopefully tonight will help to explain! But with only a few more episodes left what will be the outcome of ‘Lost’ will they really all just wake up from a dream? or will we really be left with still not knowing.

Who knows, maybe there will be “Lost: The Movie”.

This time, one year ago, Purely Top TV was founded on the ideal that access to streaming TV shouldn’t involve wading through masses of Popups and extremely fast blinking ads, and that you should have open access to a stream, without having to fill out pages of “Surveys” or “Offers”. And here we are today, still going strong.

To celebrate our birthday, we have undergone alot of recoding of the site to make it faster, cleaner, and more accessible then ever. This is really only the start of our transformation, and we are definitely looking towards a more community feel. With outsiders coming in and adding embed links, or even links to their own site. We are a bit off that just now, but we are striving to reach that goal.

Here is a quick list of what changes are being released today :

Cub3r Flash News
The front page now contains a small Flash box/cube that has our latest news on it. We found that people aren’t interested in big long pieces of text, and they quickly want to read the headlines and move on. Well, you can quickly flick through the latest news, and then move on to watch your shows.

Latest Additions
The front page also contains (on the left hand side) a box that has our latest additions. So you can immediately come just to the homepage, and see if your shows have been put up yet.

TV Schedule
While still in its infancy, this is quite a handy feature. To the right of our “Latest Additions” is a quick TV Schedule which will tell you which shows are on which day. In the future we are hoping to move this to its own page, and let you guys know when shows “Skip a week” as they often do etc.

Top Shows
Shown along the bottom of the homepage, this lists the top 5 shows with the most views this week. We are hoping to eventually show stats over time, which how shows are rising or lowering in popularity. But for now its handy to find a hot new show to watch.

New View URL’s
Although most of you hardly will notice. We used to have () or “brackets” in our URL’s to shows. In the brackets were our season and episode numbers. But brackets often seem to break querys, or break URL’s when places on things like twitter or facebook. So we have changed them to / instead. For the most part you don’t need to worry, because all old URL’s will still be redirected to the new ones.

Extra Links
Below every episode will be a list of “Extra Links”. These links will be to other websites that also contain embeds of the episode. For the most part, its to try and please everyone. While Megavideo does have pretty good quality, it does have a time limit which peeve alot of people off. So we will try and link to many different sources to give you guys the choice. Do note that there aren’t many extra links up at the moment just due to us spending all our time developing the site. But over time the list will grow bigger and bigger for each show.

There is a bunch more things in the works that we are building, and even a few extra things that are already on the site that you will eventually figure out for yourself. There will be a few issues with the new site as it goes up and over the first week or so. I mean, we can only do so much testing! But we are looking to keep building PTTV bigger and better.

Here at Purely Top TV we are avid Lost fans, never miss an episode so with last nights being such a downer we are starting to wonder what this final season really has in store for us. I mean, what did we learn from last nights episode? That Kate can cry.. A lot.. That they are still trapped inside that temple.. The crying and whining woman in the real time Lost.. That Claire still calls her son Aaron but she doesn’t know why.. You have to admit, last nights episode was very soap opera like.

But this is Lost, not 90210. We expect there to be moments that make us think, not moments that cause us to start talking over the top of the show.

The only cliffhanger moment was when Claire all of a sudden appeared out of the jungle, protecting Jin.. then the famous Lost boom happened and it was the end…

But seriously we had to watch an hour or soap opera before something good happened. It’s not what us Lost fans want. With this being the final season we don’t want more questions, we want the previous questions answered and Lost to end so we don’t have to have a two hour discussion after.

The highlights of the episode:

Hurley saying ‘You’re not a zombie are you’ to Sayid.

Miles saying ‘We’ll be in the food court if you need us’… they have a food court at the temple? Does it have McDonald’s? no wonder Hurley has never lost weight whilst being on the island!! hmm interesting!!

The fact that Claire actually got back into the car with a lady who kicked her out of the car first and pointed a gun at her.. and then asked her to go into the house with her.. I mean wtf! I would not want to do that!!

And finally…

Black and White theme is back… Kate pulls out a stuffed animal from Claire’s bag and it’s black and white.

Hmm… they just leave us thinking don’t they!

Wow. Not only can Puck play football… He can sing… and sing very well at that. Definaely a highlight of ‘Mash Up’ and deserves to start of the top 5 Glee moments.

“This one’s for you Artie”. Proud Mary is a touching moment in ‘Wheels’ and the bit i like most is that fact Rachel is there stealing the show. This was all Artie and it is brilliant. The choreographer for teaching the Glee Club to do a whole performance in wheel chairs deserves an award.

3 – ‘Jump’ – Group Performance (Mattress)

Well, this was just brilliant. Who would of thought you could make a song about a mattress company be so catchy and entertaining.

2 – ‘Single Ladies’ – Football Team Dance (Preggers)

There doesn’t really need to be an introduction to this one. Just by watching the clip you can tell why this has to be in our top 5 list. I mean, would you really see this on a football field in real life? Probably not, but on Glee anything is possible.

1 – Sue visiting her sister (Wheels)

The only none musical themed entry into our top 5 and it has to come at number 1, this being the scene from Wheels, where Sue goes to a care facility to visit her sister. This may be short and sweet, but it’s nice to see a different side to Sue Sylvester, rather than the scheming woman she usually is.

With only 11 days away till the final season starts, Lost fever is here! Getting into the swing of things, we have added every episode of Lost on Purely Top TV right from Episode 1. Not too sure if there is people out there with enough time to spare to go right from Day 1 (Lost marathon anyone?), but its there if you need it!

If you dont have the time to start all the way back, be sure to check out the last few episodes of Season 5 just to refresh your memory. Its going to be a big season!
